Randall Newton
Randall Newton brings over 20 years of coaching experience at the college and national high school levels, backed by four years of collegiate playing experience. Throughout his coaching career, Newton has helped build winning programs while developing players both on and off the field.
His coaching résumé includes 2 High School National Championships, 5 World Series Championships, and multiple State Championships. Over the past six years, his national high school baseball program has achieved a 100% college commitment rate, helping players earn opportunities to continue their baseball careers at the next level.
Newton’s coaching philosophy is centered on player development, proper mechanics, fundamentals, and baseball IQ. He believes in teaching players not only how to execute skills, but also understanding the why behind the game. His goal is to develop fundamentally sound, confident, intelligent baseball players who are prepared to compete at the highest level.
For Newton, success is measured not only by championships, but by the growth, development, and opportunities created for every player he coaches.

Brently Newton
CIF/P Coach
Brently Newton brings a strong background as both a player and competitor to the Blue Sox coaching staff. A four-year varsity starter in high school, Brently earned Rookie Player of the Year honors as a freshman and helped lead his team to the regional playoffs all four years. He also competed on the national travel baseball circuit, gaining valuable experience against some of the best players and programs in the country.
Brently began his collegiate baseball career in Oklahoma before transferring back home to Kansas, where he finished his playing career at Bethany College in the KCAC. His playing experience and understanding of the game give him a strong foundation for developing young athletes.
This upcoming season, Brently will focus on training corner infielders and pitchers, with an emphasis on mechanics, fundamentals, consistency, and developing a deeper understanding of the game.
Jordan Johnson
Pitching Coach
Jordan Johnson brings a strong playing background and national-level experience to the Blue Sox coaching staff. Originally from Oklahoma, Jordan was a varsity baseball player beginning as a freshman and competed on the national travel baseball circuit, gaining experience against top competition.
After high school, Jordan continued his collegiate baseball career in Oklahoma before transferring back to Kansas to finish his career. He is currently a senior at Bethany College competing in the KCAC.
This upcoming season, Jordan will work primarily with the pitching staff, focusing on pitching mechanics, fundamentals, consistency, and helping young pitchers develop confidence and a deeper understanding of the game.
Chance Hogan
MIF/OF Coach
Chance Hogan is a local baseball standout who recently completed his high school career at Salina Central. During his high school career, Chance earned multiple honors, including 2025 ACVTL II All-League Honorable Mention Pitcher and All-League Second Baseman. In 2026, he was named ACVTL II All-League Honorable Mention Pitcher and earned All-State Second Team honors at second base.
Chance also enjoyed a successful travel baseball career, competing at the national high school level and gaining valuable experience against top competition. His versatility, defensive ability, and experience across multiple positions make him a valuable addition to the Blue Sox coaching staff.
This upcoming season, Chance will work primarily with middle infielders and outfielders, focusing on defensive fundamentals, mechanics, footwork, positioning, and developing overall baseball IQ.
